Mr Ramli Mohd Yunus

Mr Yunus is married with two children and has studied Mass Communication and Administrative Management at various Universities in Malaysia.

His involvement with thalassaemia begins with his wife’s condition, being a patient with thalassaemia intermedia. He currently manages a rubber plantation and owns a chain of Indian food restaurants in Alor Star City, where he has recently become City Councillor.

He has been involved with the thalassaemia organisation for almost 20 years. His involvement at the national level and the promotion of control strategies for thalassaemia in Malaysia has been incredible.
