Empowering Lives, Embracing Progress: Equitable and Accessible Thalassaemia Treatment for All is the theme for this year International Thalassemia Day and to celebrate this, we brought together four members of the Thalassemia Advocacy Advisory Council (Thal AAC).

The Thal AAC is a patient advisory group, founded and funded by Agios Pharmaceuticals, who are on a mission to ensure all thalassaemia patients across the world have the information and support they uniquely need.

In this sit-down interview, we discussed the group, their upcoming global health literacy survey aimed to better understand the barriers to health literacy, as well as their hopes and dreams for the wider thalassemia community – check out the video below!
