”Foundation against Thalassaemia” celebrated India’s 70th Republic Day with a great Thalassaemia Awareness Carnival

On the occasion of India’s 70th Republic Day on the 26th of January 2019, the NGO ”Foundation Against Thalassaemia” organised a successful Thalassaemia Awareness Carnival involving a blood donation camp, cultural program, sessions on the prevention of thalassemia and a pledge taking ceremony. Hundreds of thalassaemic children performed and about 1000 people signed the pledge to help India become Thalassaemia Free.

“Foundation Against Thalassaemia Regd.” is based at Faridabad Haryana India, and was created in 1995 by a group of parents & charitable members of community. It is an active member of TIF, focusing on raising thalassaemia awareness among patients and the public, and helping thalassaemics – mainly children- by providing them with free medicines and blood.
