Ms. Catherine Skari holds a BA cum laude in Communication & Mass Media from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She further acquired a distinguished MA in Media & Communication Studies at Malmö University, Sweden, as well as a MA in Italian Linguistics from the University of Milan, Italy.
Since October 2018, Ms. Skari has been a vital member of the TIF staff, serving as Communications Lead. Through her work, she has successfully initiated and coordinated numerous activities to raise awareness about thalassaemia and showcase the Federation’s extensive work.
Boasting a long career in journalism, she has held positions as senior editor and journalist at Mega Channel, one of Greece’s most influential private TV stations. Her wide-ranging expertise covers multiple languages, such as English, Italian, Spanish, and Greek. Additionally, Ms. Skari is skilled in translation work between Italian and Greek languages and is a certified Italian tutor.
