Mrs. Anubha Taneja Mukherjee, a lawyer by training, has 17 years of advocacy experience. Being a thalassaemia patient herself, she dedicated her efforts to the cause from her early years with Thalassemics India, a non-profit organization boasting 35 years of service to the thalassaemia community in the country. Mrs. Mukherjee represents TPAG as a special invitee to the National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC) and is also a member of TIF’s Patient Advocacy Group (T-PAG).
In 2017, she was asked by Thalassemics India to establish and lead the Thalassaemia Patients Advocacy Group (TPAG). Her work with TPAG involves collaborations with public and private organizations such as MoHFW, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, NBTC, WHO, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, Indian Red Cross Society, Facebook, Roche India, Novartis, and more.
Professionally, Mrs. Mukherjee serves as the General Manager-Legal & Policy for a global mining company. Previously, she held the position of Deputy Director at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier industry body, where she led crucial advocacy campaigns for relevant sectors. Additionally, she has extensive experience in trial advocacy.
