The Thalassemia Centre at Chiang Mai University is a major referral and academic centre for thalassaemia in Northern Thailand, integrating paediatric, adult, and maternal–foetal haematology services within a large tertiary hospital setting.
The Centre plays a prominent role in thalassemia education nationwide, delivers multidisciplinary training, and organises the annual Chiang Mai Thalassemia Conference. Its active translational research programme positions it among the most dynamic thalassemia research hubs in Southeast Asia.
