The Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) has launched the “Topics in Focus” series — a modular collection of booklets designed to make its internationally recognised Guidelines for the Management of Thalassaemia Syndromes more accessible and practical for healthcare professionals worldwide.
Each booklet focuses on a specific aspect of the updated guidelines for transfusion-dependent thalassaemia (TDT), non-transfusion-dependent β-thalassaemia (NTDT), and α-thalassaemia, allowing physicians from various specialties to access critical, evidence-based recommendations quickly and conveniently.
This format enables busy healthcare professionals to find exactly the information they need—whether related to diagnosis, transfusion practices, iron chelation, or complications management—without having to navigate the full guidelines.
Healthcare professionals can also consult TIF’s AI Knowledge Bot, an interactive tool available on the website, to obtain instant answers to specific questions about the guidelines.
