About the Masterclass
“The MENA Thalassaemia Experience” is an EBAC-accredited, case-based, patient-centred Masterclass that brings together leading international experts and physicians actively involved in the care of patients with thalassaemia.
Through interactive sessions, real-world case discussions, and multidisciplinary perspectives, participants will explore:
– contemporary challenges in transfusion-dependent and non–transfusion-dependent thalassaemia,
– prevention, diagnosis, and management of complications,
– iron overload monitoring and treatment,
– evolving therapeutic landscapes and novel treatments,
– transition of care from paediatric to adult services, and
– patient journeys across diverse healthcare settings.
Target Audience
The Masterclass is intended for physicians actively involved in the management of thalassaemia in the MENA region.
A total of 50 physicians will be selected to participate.
Application & Selection Process
Participation is subject to an application and review process.
Applicants are required to complete an online application, which will be reviewed by Medscape to ensure a diverse, inclusive, and balanced group of participants, aligned with the objectives of the activity.
Selected participants must commit to full attendance for both days of the Masterclass.

Travel, Accommodation & Registration Grants
Upon acceptance, participants will receive complimentary support, including:
– registration for the full two-day Masterclass,
– travel arrangements to and from Dubai (organised through Medscape’s appointed travel agency),
– accommodation at the meeting hotel,
– meals and refreshments throughout the programme.

Accreditation
This educational activity is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation of Continuing Education for Health Professionals (EBAC®). Participants may also be eligible to convert EBAC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, in accordance with EBAC–AMA agreements.
