The Kamala Hospital and Research Centre for Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Patients is a proprietary facility of the Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS), a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1998. TSCS was registered with TIF two years ago.
The hospital operates in Hyderabad, a city with a population of nearly 12 million, in the state of Telangana, which has an approximate population of 36 million.
The on-site assessment of the Centre was conducted by TIF Medical Consultants on 24 February 2025.
