The Danish Centre for Red Blood Cells is a highly specialized unit located at Rigshospitalet, in Copenhagen, the largest diagnostic, clinical, and research facility for rare anaemias in the Nordic countries.
The Centre is dedicated to the diagnosis and management of red blood cell disorders in Denmark and also provides services to patients from other Nordic countries, where the prevalence of haemoglobinopathy carriers remains low.
The on-site assessment of the Centre was conducted by TIF Medical Consultants on 9 April 2025.
