Ms Elena Mylona

Ms. Elena Mylona was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1976. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary School Teaching from the University of Cyprus and she has been teaching since 1997, specializing in Health Education Programs all over Cyprus.

She is currently the Vice President of Limassol Thalassemia Foundation and she has been holding this position for the past 5 years. She is also the Vice President of the Pancyprian Thalassemia Foundation. Currently, she serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Federation.

Elena started her active role in the Thalassaemia Boards in 2009 and has led a lot of seminars, conferences, and symposiums as well as Thalassaemia Day Festivities all over Cyprus. She has been taking part in many conferences at the national and international level and has been helping the patients in her community with their needs and improving their quality of life. Elena is also a patient herself with β-thalassaemia major.
