The International Thalassaemia Day (ITD) is marked annually on 8 May and it is devoted to raising awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about thalassaemia, and helping the global thalassaemia community to connect and call for changes towards the improvement of patients lives and well-being.

TIF’s Global Thalassaemia Report: The Premiere
On 8 May, a Virtual High-level Event for the Official Launch of TIF’s Global Thalassaemia Report will take place!
The TIF Global Thalassaemia Report brings together for 1st time a huge volume of information and evidence-based data from all over the world with regard to thalassaemia, and highlights existing health inequalities in provided healthcare and services, leading to a significant disease burden and unmet needs for patients.
Each year the voice of people with thalassaemia, and those who work and live with them, grows louder.
