Ms. Elena Mylona, was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1976. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Primary School Teaching from University of Cyprus and she has been teaching since 1997, specializing in Health Education Programs all over Cyprus.
She is currently the Vice President of Limassol Thalassemia Foundation and she has been holding this position the past 5 years. She is also the Vice President of the Pancyprian Thalassemia Foundation. This is her second term as a member of the TIF Board.
Elena started her active role in the Thalassaemia Boards since 2009 and has leaded a lot of seminars, conferences and symposiums as well as Thalassaemia Day Festivities all over Cyprus. She has been taking part in many conferences in national and international level and has been helping the patients in her community with their needs and to improve their quality of life. Elena is also a patient herself with β-thalassaemia major.
