The TIF2021 will feature 2 parallel programmes – a Scientific Programme for Healthcare Professionals and another for Patients/Parents.

The Scientific Programme will cover a broad range of topics, focusing on the STATE OF THE ART RESEARCH, INNOVATIVE THERAPIES and CARE, and less on overviews of basic clinical management, conducted in the context of the search for the total cure of thalassaemia and other haemoglobinopathies.

Furthermore, the Patients Programme will seek to EMPOWER, EDUCATE and INFORM representatives of national thalassaemia associations from all across the globe on issues of crucial importance.

We are pleased to announce the TIF 2021 will be an online event. As a global event with attendees from around the world, the format for the Conference was selected with the well-being of our participants and staff in mind, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
