An Expert Panel of Six Medical Professionals from various countries, such as India, the UK, Italy and Saudi Arabia, shared their experiences with TIF on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) patients.
Among other issues, the increased danger for complications of the coronavirus in this group of patients, as well as the great variability of infected cases between different regions were highlighted. The Webinar was hosted by TIF in collaboration with its International Active SCD Group (IASG).
