Delegation Visit to Germany – 24-27 September 2015

TIF has completed a delegation visit to Germany between 24-27 September 2015, represented by Mr George Constantinou, TIF Board Member.

The objective of this visit was to consolidate the patient groups in Germany, increase their capacity and organize a strong representation of Thalassaemia Patients Organizations. TIF has been focusing on this objective e for many years now without considerable success.

A meeting took place in Ratzeburg with Mrs Katerina Nassis Klauss, President of the Thalassaemia Organization of Hamburg, and Prof Regine Grosse, of the Universitaetsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf, Kinder Haematolog to discuss the situation in the country with regards to the holistic care of thalassaemia.
