In its Awareness cum Educational drive about Prevention and Eradication of Thalassaemia, Foundation Against Thalassaemia (Regd.) organized a Press Conference in Faridabad.
Mr Ravinder Dudeja, Founder Secy. General of the organization informed that a mega Walk-for-a-Cause charity Ramp Walk Show is being organized on 25th November 2017 in Faridabad which will be telecast live on Asia First News.com. More than 100 Professional models, Fashionistas, Chartered Accountants, Doctors, Engineers, Pilots, Women entrepreneurs, teachers, Professors, Olympic medal winners, Corporate honchos, Cabin crew of airlines, Socialites etc. from various parts of India and overseas will be walking the ramp holding hands of thalassaemic children.
The event will be supported by almost all Rotary Clubs of Faridabad, Lions Club of Faridabad, Innerwheel Club, Indian Medical Association – Faridabad Chapter, DAV Centenary College, Many hospitals and nursing homes from Delhi NCR and several NGOs, Social Organizations and Not-for-profit-institutions and various individuals in multiple ways.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Mukesh Aggarwal, President, Rotary Club of Delhi South Central informed that Foundation Against Thalassaemia has been doing tremendous job for the welfare of thalassaemic children for over twenty years and that this drive against prevention and eradication of thalassaemia is a great step and their club will offer its full support to make this drive highly successful.
In a joint voice representing women power supporting this drive,Dr Punita Hasija Gynaecologist – President Elect IMA Faridabad chapter, Dr Sanjana Jon – International Celebrity Fashion Designer, Ms Shashi Abraham, Ms Rashmi Sachdeva – Mrs Universe Euro Asia 2016, Ms Deepika Chawla – Vice President, American Express, Ms Sarita Kalia , Dr Anju Maunjal , Vrinda Sahni, Ms Sraboni Chatterjee, Ms Gitika Bhatia , Ms Seema Gumbar said they were extremely delighted to be a part of a great initiative like this. They pledged that they will jointly and in their individual capacities pledge and spread the message on how a simple HbA2 test can help prevent thalassaemia from spreading further. It was amazing to note the high spirit and seriousness of these women who will also be illuminating the ramp on the D-day.
Mr B Dass Batra and Mr J K Bhatia both the Executive Members of the Foundation informed that it’s scheduled to open a full fledged permanent Medical Centre in NH-1 Faridabad in which state of the art facilities for free blood transfusion, free routine health check-up and regular free medicines to thalassaemic children will be provided.
The press conference was also attended by Dr Suresh Arora President IMA Faridabad Chapter, Rotarian Manohar Punaini, Parvesh Malik, Mohinder Khurana, Anand Parkash, Manoj Ratra and J.D. Arora who wished Foundation Against Thalassaemia a great success and assured their wholehearted support in this mission.
